The Monroe Institute Presents
The Shaman’s Heart Program
The Path of Authentic Power, Purpose and Presence
September 11 - 17, 2010
The Shaman’s Heart Program is a revolutionary new program for developing one’s full capacity for soul-based and heart-centered living. Developed by Byron Metcalf, Ph.D., The Shaman’s Heart Program is the result of Byron’s 20+ years of research, clinical application, spiritual and transpersonal development, and shamanic/holistic healing and transformation. The program is a unique and practical integration of shamanic practice, transpersonal psychology, ancient wisdom teachings, and various contemporary methods of spiritual growth, development and personal transformation. This highly experiential 6-day retreat is specifically oriented toward creating the capacity to navigate these challenging times and complex world in a soul-based and heart-centered manner. Using a combination of music and sound, meditation, personal intention, specially created Hemi-Sync sessions, HoloShamanic Breathwork*, and integrative processing, Byron will be joined by Karen Malik, a senior Monroe Institute facilitator to create a unique opportunity for participants to explore The Shaman’s Heart Program.
Potential benefits include:
• Heart-Centered self-empowerment – authentic trust and confidence in one’s capacity to navigate life’s challenges
• Freedom from fear, worry and anxiety
• Improved immune system and a reduction of stress related and psychosomatic illnesses
• Increased ability to relax deeply and let go
• Enhanced capacity for intimacy and openness in relationships • Increased presence, creativity, mental clarity, focus and attention
• Freedom from an excessive need for external approval, respect and recognition
• A sense of basic trust in one’s self-healing capacities
• An expanded experience of one’s true self and true nature
*HoloShamanic Breathwork is a powerful strategy for directly contacting the intrinsic healing power within each individual. Developed by Byron Metcalf, Ph.D., this unique approach combines key components from Grof’s Holotropic Breathwork™ with various shamanic healing methods that have been used since the dawn of recorded history. HoloShamanic Breathwork was the subject of Byron’s formal doctoral research and is based on more than 40 years of modern consciousness research examining the transformative potential of nonordinary states of consciousness. This work is ideally suited for those interested in shamanic and spiritual healing and anyone seeking to develop the capacity for soul-based and heart-centered living, and a deeper spiritual/psychological awareness and unfoldment. HoloShamanic Breathwork focuses on utilizing one’s own inner wisdom and various non-physical helpers, guides and allies, to reveal, release, and transform the patterns and barriers that inhibit and stifle our growth and creative energies. It can help one access all levels of human experience including the biographical, perinatal, and transpersonal realms of consciousness, and the upper, middle, and lower worlds of the shamanic landscape. NOTE: This program is NOT appropriate for those with a history of mental illness, cardio-vascular problems (including hypertension), glaucoma, chronic respiratory conditions, recent surgery or current pregnancy.
